On a different night, Mark checked out another G-13 show. Click here for pictures of the show. After a two and a half hour drive, Mark and I finally arrived in Frostburg, MD.
The room was a nice size, but there was no heat.
So we all hung out and drank to keep warm.
Skrow got things going….
And while he was singing to T….
Jason joined him on stage.
I went outside and took this picture from the window in the door behind the stage.
You can see the door here as G-13 takes the stage.
John does his best to warm up the crowd.
This guy put his glove around his drink…..to keep his hand from getting too cold.
Whatch-you-lookin-at?
The room was quickly filling with people….
So Skrow fine tuned the light show for them all.
I went up to check it out…..
Then came back down for some more pictures of the band.
Frostburg, we have a problem.
It seems there was a need to take an early set break…..
Because the mixer died.
Skrow worked fast and got Skip’s mic back online….
And then John’s….
The guys then just played through their individual amps.
Total down time, about 8 minutes.
Nice work, Skrow.
After all that, it was time for me to take a break.
The room was split into two sections, the bar side….
And the music side.
During the real set break we all headed to an apartment above the bar.
It was a nice cozy place where we relaxed and had a drink.
Skip joins me in a self portrait.
Someone had made the band a little treat for the set break.
Mark was acting goofy in the hallway on the way back down.
The bar side of Alliway was under the sign, and the band side was in between the vehicles.
Nothing at the bar stated who was playing tonight….
So I put together a quick sign.
The set break was over and it was time for them to get back on stage.
Nice shirt, Sonny.
Jason still had the scarf around his neck to keep warm.
Skip, however, was fine in a T-shirt.
Another shot from the outside looking in.
John silhouetted by the stage lighting.
This was the only heat in the joint, and it wasn’t even plugged in.
These guys were hangin on the bar side catching the musical overflow.
I decided to take action, and get the heater running.
Some dame left her purse open, so I figured I’d take a picture for eveyone to see what she has inside.
These two ladies were enjoying a close and personal show.
Kinda phalic, yes?
I had the camera set for the last picture, but the way this got washed out is kinda cool.
Here is a similar picture, without being washed out.
As always, I make beer runs, too.
And he laid his gifts at the feet of gods.
This couple was dancing….
And I like the way she dips.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
They were all kind enough to do a quick pose for me at the end of the show.
Then it was time to start breaking things down for the night.
T, you seem to have left something behind.
John puts his bass to bed for the night.
The bar was still hopping….
But outside was quiet….
Except the the van needing to be jumped.
Good thing John knows what he’s doing.
Here’s one for all the ladies in the crowd….John’s butt.
Look, John and Sonny loading the trailer, I’ve never seen that before.
Look, Sonny is giving it up for the ladies, too. With the trailer loaded, it was time for Mark and I to head out of town.
With the trailer loaded, it was time for Mark and I to head out of town.
We had a quick stop at Sheetz….
Where we bumped into Skrow and Skip….
They grabbed a quick bite to eat….
Along with half of Frostburg….
And then it was homeward bound…..MARK, WAKE UP, IT’S 4am!!!!!!
