Before leaving, I printed pictures from previous shows for everyone. Can you guess who gets which set?
On my way over to John’s, I saw this sign….who wears knickers?
Arriving at John’s, the guys were just about ready…..
And after picking up Sonny, we were on our way.
Jason and Puna enjoy a quick smoke at the rest stop.

I don’t think obeying the speed laws was going to be a problem.
NYC, we could see it AND smell it!!!
Arriving at the club, G-13 was listed as appearing next on the signs out front….
But not yet on the marquee.
After moving the equipment inside, we headed to a pizza joint for some NYC pie.
Back at the club, and Jason checks out who else is playing At B.B. King’s.
This night was mostly a hurry up and wait kinda thing.
Sonny admires Skip’s hair before the show.
With Carol Channing gone, the guys could get thier gear on the stage.
Drummers attended to the drums….
And I checked out the scene finding good places to take photos.
John and Jason get setup (Jason is on the screen in the backgroud).
Scarecrow was running sound for the night, so he was going through sound check with everyone.
John Singer was there to provide incredible visual effects.
While Scarecrow continued the sound check….
John waited patiently for his turn.
Sound check was done, and it was time to relax before the show.

A few last minute changes at the taper booth.
John Singer is just about ready to go with the visuals.
The bar was packed full of late night drinking fools.
John kicked it off, bellowing the lyrics.
Jason seems brighter than most.
Mark Karan, of Bob Weir & Ratdog, came out and played for the first set.
It was a jammin’ good time!!!
Oh BTW, they finally got G-13 on the marquee just before the show.
Back in the club, Sonny was rockin’ away…..
And the guys in the front did what guys in the front do.
Mookie Siegel also made the trip.
Man, can that cat play the keys!!!!

Sonny is too, but I managed to get him this time.

Then he and Jason tune up.

First set break, and it was back to the waiting room.
Not long after, it was back out again for the second set.
3:30am, does this town sleep?
Yes, the freaks come out at night.
It was late, and the crowd had thinned, but there were still a few people hanging out.
Pugs, ever so faithful as a taper.
Alright guys, it’s late, time to end it.
And at 4am, they began to break everything down.
The next day, John, Alison, and I went out to check out NYC.
Check out what they did with the straw wrapper.
We headed to the subway with intentions of going into the city….
But instead stayed in Queens and had some lunch.
The food was Thai, and it was good.
Is it still a subway if it’s over the roadway?
Later that night, we headed back into the city to the club.
John and Jason put in an advanced order for an ambulance.
We had to hook up the trailer so we could grab the gear at the end of the night.
I caught the guy just after the marquee was changed for the second night.
I took this picture so we would know where we parked the van.
It was a nice stroll back to the club through Times Square.

With the all clear given, it was time to setup for the second night.

The top image is the stage, and the bottom is his computer producing the image.
The line was growing longer outside.
And the guys were almost ready inside.
A quick check insured that everything sounded good in the smaller room.
It was back to the waiting room to wait for the show to start.
Some friends stopped by to say hello.

The crowd was getting into the great sounds of G-13.
Upstairs, there was some great stuff for sale.

Back out for round two.
Pugs hangs out again making sure to record for all of you to listen.
During the set break, everyone was just having a good time.
Jason enjoys a private moment.
Scarecrow was out during the set break to entertain the fine people of NYC.
Back stage, there were some last minute changes to the setlist.

Then it was back to the music.
These people were dancing in the corner, but this picture didn’t quite capture the movement…..

While John tried to get the front desk to tell us the room number, I checked out the gift shop.
There was time for a quick picture of John and I…..
The next day and the van was all packed and ready to go.

Puna was very happy to be heading home.
We seem to be missing a mister Tom Lutz.
John and I headed back to get him, but he wasn’t answering the phone.
Then it was back out to see if anyone knew T’s room number.
After thinking about it for a minute…..
We were able to get the room number and drag T out of bed.
The billboards were huge…..
A group of fans mobbed the van before we left and asked for autographs.
T grabs the Captain Kirk seat for the ride home…..
While the rest of us check out the NYC mayhem.
John and Sonny grab a quick bite to eat….
And Jason decides to join them.
I took this shot, but wanted the people in the reflection to be looking at me….

And this one looks like a giant peeking around the corner.
With the last of the stuff picked up from the club, it was time to head home.
Try explaining this billboard to your 5 year old.

Yup, that’s Jersey.
Skip rode in another car, so it was just these fools in the van.
